Who We Are

Red Fever Kennels is a small, family owned and operated kennel, by myself (Ann), my husband Aubrey, and our children. We are self-described animal nuts, and along with the dogs, have horses, mules, goats, and chickens. I am a stay at home Mom, and Aubrey works off the farm, but every free moment is spent here as a family working with our animals. We only raise a few litters a year, and spend countless hours with the puppies....though it is a process that we thoroughly enjoy and are passionate about. The whole family takes part in raising and caring for each puppy.  Our kids love getting to name each one and seeing them grow.  We practice Early Neurological Stimulation (ENS), which is something that benefits each puppy as they go to their new homes.  We also implement The Rule of Sevens in puppy socialization.  The Rule of Sevens helps acclimate them to different environments, so when they go to their new homes they adjust well.  Our puppies are handled daily and are well socialized with children/people.  Our puppies are either AKC/UKC/or ASCA registered (depending on the breed, some are registered in multiple registries), and come with Limited registration paperwork (unless otherwise noted, or you have spoken with me specifically about breeding rights), are current on vaccinations, de-wormed at 2,4,6, and 8 weeks, have dew claws removed, and tails docked (if it is a breed standard).  They are health checked by a veterinarian and come with a health certificate.  We also micro chip all our puppies as a permanent form of identification.  We do our very best to give our puppies the best start in life possible that they may bring your family many years of joy and happiness.

Why These Breeds?

We both grew up on Wisconsin dairy farms, and have quite a bit of knowledge of breeding and genetics from that alone, although it was more of a passion for me (Ann). Both of us had several different breeds of stock dogs on the farm, and Aubrey's Grandfather, Dad, and Uncles loved to hunt with dogs. Please visit each breeds' page to learn more about our history with the breed, and view our dogs, testimonials of those who have purchased from us, and view available puppies.
